Good enough for me Sep 30, 2008 It provided a modest bump in my video performance without a big price. I haven't had any problems in the 2 weeks I've had it.
FAN is SO noisy, and they want $30+shipping to replace it! Feb 21, 2008 It's simple. The fan is loud. It gets louder. I call. They say, "Sure we'll replace it for a $30 fee (oh, and you have to front the cost of another card since we don't trust you to mail the old one back on your own dime)." Thanks guys. I'll remember to tell my friends about you.
LOUD Fan - horrible customer service Feb 21, 2008 The fan on this card was exceptionally loud from the start and only got louder. When I called to have it replaced they would NOT replace the card without me paying a $30 processing fee. Bad card + bad service = don't by PNY.
Nice card for a person on a budget Nov 29, 2007 I purchased this in April 07 and found it to be very easy to install and to date I have had no problem at all with it. My wife and I move about every 13 weeks and even with that it has never needed to be reseated or anything. The only issue was remembering I had it and accidently plugging my monitor into the wrong place, which is hardly a fault of the card! :)
Anyway, if you're looking for a card that is a cut above the standard OEM for most PC's but don't want to break the bank then I would recommend this card. If you want jaw dropping performance then spend a little more for the big boys.
A great card and nice price, too Nov 26, 2007 I've used NVidia cards before with no problems, and this is no exception. Installation was a snap, just a little angst with Vista when I disabled the integrated video that came with my new PC. I highly recommend installing in Safe Mode, and if you don't know how, ask someone. My card came with the Vista drivers already on the CD so I didn't need to worry about downloading them after the install. As for the fan noise --- yes, I can hear a little, but it's not even noticeable unless the room is very very quiet which never happens here. Graphic rendering is smooth, and Vista's Aero looks just great. Amazon had it here in less than a week and I saved about 30 bucks over my local store's price. What's not to like?
